With your IGI certificate, you can easily check your diamond's details and ensure its authenticity. The 4C's are essential to define a diamond's quality and determine its value. IGI (International Gemological Institute) is the world's largest independent gemological laboratory, with locations across major diamond and jewelry centers globally. Founded in Antwerp in 1975, IGI has decades of expertise in grading diamonds, gemstones, and jewelry, and is widely recognized as the leading authority in lab-grown diamond certification.

At HONN Fine Jewelry, all of our lab-grown diamonds over 0.3 carats are accompanied with IGI certificates. When your diamond is certified, it has a laser engraving on its girdle with its unique certificate number. This is impossible to see with the naked eye, and you need a magnifying glass with 10–20x magnification to be able to decipher it. As an exclusive complimentary service, we verify every diamond using a specialized machine that confirms the laser engraving on the stone matches its IGI certificate exactly — giving you complete confidence that the diamond you receive is precisely the one that was certified.
