With your GIA certificate, you can easily check your diamond's details and ensure its authenticity. The 4C´s are essential to define a diamond’s quality and determine its value. GIA is a nonprofit institute for the publics benefit. GIA is the leading source of knowledge, standards, and education in gems and jewelry. In the 1940s, GIA established the “4Cs” and the International Diamond Grading System which is to this day, the worldwide standard for evaluating diamond quality.

At HONN fine Jewelry all of our diamonds over than 0.3 carats are accompanied with GIA certificates. When your diamond is certified it has a laser engraving on its girdle with its unique certificate number. This is impossible to see with the naked eye and you need a magnifying glass with 10-20x magnification to be able to decipher it.
